The dye is injected through an intravenous (IV) line started in your arm or hand.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"\/services-and-conditions\/heart-and-vascular-care\/echocardiogram-ekg-heart-tests\/ct-ffr\/\">Computed tomography-fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR)<\/a><\/strong>: Using imagery collected during a CTA scan, this advanced, noninvasive imaging technology creates a 3D model of your coronary arteries to help identify the significance of any potential blockages.<\/li><li><strong>Echocardiogram:<\/strong> A noninvasive ultrasound of the heart, it provides a visual image of the functioning of your heart and valves.<\/li><li><strong>Stress echocardiogram<\/strong>: This combines ultrasound of the heart with a stress test using a treadmill or medication.<\/li><li><strong>Electrocardiogram (EKG)<\/strong>: This quick test measures your heartbeat and heart rate by recording electrical activity through patches applied to the chest, arms and legs.<\/li><li><strong>Holter monitoring<\/strong>: A 24- or 48-hour continuous EKG that is recorded by a belt- or shoulder-mounted monitoring unit and electrodes applied to the chest.<\/li><li><strong>Exercise stress testing:<\/strong> Used to evaluate exercise tolerance, it may include an EKG with the exercise, usually performed on a treadmill.<\/li><li><strong>Vascular ultrasound<\/strong>: A noninvasive ultrasound, it\u2019s used to examine the circulation in the blood vessels of the body to determine if the arteries have narrowed due to vascular disease.<\/li><li><strong>Single photon emission CT (SPECT) exercise and pharmacologic stress myocardial perfusion imaging and cardiac
