While our team of highly trained labor and delivery nurses will provide much of your postpartum care at the hospital, your OB\/GYN or midwife will continue to assess your recovery during your stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you go home, your OB\/GYN or midwife will perform a physical exam to ensure your health and well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-follow-up-visit\">Follow-up Visit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the first week after leaving the hospital, you should schedule a follow-up appointment with your provider four to six weeks after delivery. An earlier follow-up visit might be needed in some cases.
