The birth of your baby marks the beginning of an incredible new journey. Norton Healthcare provides personalized postpartum care to ensure a healthy and happy transition from hospital to home \u2014 for both mom and baby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to addressing your physical needs after birth, we offer breastfeeding support, help with finding a pediatrician, new parent classes and other postpartum resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services Available for You and Baby During Your Stay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Postpartum care<\/b>. Our team will make sure you\u2019re healing properly after childbirth. We\u2019ll also ask how you\u2019re feeling emotionally and can provide additional resources, such as mental health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breastfeeding support<\/b>. Norton Healthcare offers comprehensive resources to help you build a good breastfeeding relationship with your baby \u2014 both in the hospital and once you\u2019re home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newborn care<\/b>. Immediately after delivery, our team will assess your baby\u2019s health and perform routine tests. Other procedures, such as a hearing test and hepatitis B vaccine, will be administered before baby goes home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neonatal intensive care<\/b>. The neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) at Norton Women\u2019s & Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a> and Norton Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a> have specialized staff and technology for babies who need advanced care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ongoing support<\/b>. Norton Healthcare provides outpatient resources such as New Mommy 101, a group where you can get advice on parenting and newborn care, and eCare Breastfeeding Support.<\/p>\n\n\n
