People with hemophilia lack blood clotting factors, which are substances in blood that are involved in the clotting process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People with blood clotting disorders, including hemophilia, are at risk for excessive bleeding from a cut or minor injury, and for internal bleeding that can cause further damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The board-certified, fellowship-trained hematology specialists at Norton Healthcare provide comprehensive care for patients with hemophilia and other blood clotting disorders. Through the largest health care system in Louisville, patients have access to three infusion centers, a range of subspecialists, and patient resources and complementary therapies that may be important to a patient\u2019s care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our hematologists have specialized training in benign blood disorders.
