If the app detects possible atrial fibrillation (A-fib), a type of irregular heartbeat, it signals an alert. You can email the EKG reading to our physicians for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Zio patch is a Food and Drug Administration-approved, small, adhesive, water-resistant, medical-grade monitor patch which can be worn for 14 days to record heart rhythms. Zio resembles an oversized adhesive bandage with a rectangular button in the middle and is wireless. It sticks to the skin just below the left collarbone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you experience an unusual heart rhythm, you press the button on the patch and log a note about your symptoms and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
